Earthquake Hazard Maps: Regional Earthquake Hazard Map is prepared within the boundary of İstanbul which is identified in 5216 law. Basic inter-disciplinary work phases in determination of probabilistic earthquake hazard map is:

• Compilation of all relevant information on geology, seismology and historical data.
• Determination of earthquake sources and zonation.
• Modelling of earthquakes characteristics at sources.
• Determination of attenuation relationships of ground motion relavent to earthquake sources.
• Distribution of Earthquake ground motion parameters with respect to a certain probability of exceedance or reccurance intervals.
