Mr. Mustafa Erol was born in Bünyan, Kayseri/Turkey in 1964. After obtaining his high school diploma from Bünyan High-School in 1981, he received his Bachelor’s degree from Turkish Air Force Academy, the Department of Electronics in 1985. Later, Mr. Erol completed the Air Force Technical School, the Department of the Logistical and Administrative Management in 1986.He served in executive positions in various units of the Turkish Air Force between the years of 1986 and 2000.

After serving a short time at Pendik District Municipality, he worked in inspection team at Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality’s Department of Resource Development and Affiliates between the years of 2001 and 2004.

He also served as a member of 10th Period Provincial Council of Istanbul between the years of 2004 and 2009. Mr. Erol also graduated from Eskişehir Anadolu University (AU), Department of Business Administration. He worked as a Deputy-Technical General Director of  İZAYDAŞ Co., a subsidiary of Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality between the years of 2004 and 2009.

Moreover, he worked as a Deputy- Administrative & Financial General Director of ANTİKKAPI Co. between the years of 2009 and 2011. He was then appointed to Research Department of the Governorship of Istanbul in 2011. While serving He has currently been serving as a director of Public Transportation Services at the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality since April 10th, 2012.

Mr. Erol is married with two children.
