Ibrahim Kapaklıkaya was born in Osmancık, Çorum and he graduated from Law School at Istanbul University in 1984. After completing his law internship, he chose to become a district governor. After serving a period of ten years as a district governor in various cities of Anatolia, he became a civil inspector. He served as the General Directorate of External Relations of the Ministry of National Education between the years 2003-2004.
Ibrahim Kapaklıkaya obtained his Master’s Degree at Brundel University in the field of Social Management and Public Administration in 1991. Furthermore, he completed a research project called “Combating Terrorism in the European Union” at Portsmouth University, England in 2007. He has been continuing his academic studies working on a Ph.D program in Istanbul University at the European Union of Social Sciences Institute.
Ibrahim Kapaklıkaya has been working on literary translations and has published thirty-two translated works as well as three copyrighted works.
Ibrahim Kapaklıkaya is married with a child.
