Muhammet Koçoğlu was born in 1969, Rize. He graduated from Anatolian University-Economic and Administrative Sciences Faculty, Economics Department in 1992. He worked at a private radio as a manager. In 1997, he started official duty in Beyoğlu Municipality. Koçoğlu who worked at Revenues Directorate in Beyoğlu Municipality, has still continued to serve as Director of Social Services in Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality since 2005. He worked in various public corporations for nearly 8 years. He is married with a child.
