Hüseyin Öztürk Hüseyin Öztürk was born in 1955, Çemişkezek. He completed his elementary school degree in Bilecek, his high school education in Istanbul. He graduated from Fatih Trade High School and İhsan Mermerci High School. He first graduated from Istanbul Atatürk Faculty of Education and later from Eskişehir Anatolian University, Sports Academy. Öztürk started his career in 1976 at the Ministry of Education as the State Books Directorate of Circulating Capital. He worked in this position for 8 years. Afterwards, he worked for 3 years in Ministry of Education, at the Public Printer Directorate of Circulating Capital as a deputy director. In 1988, he was assigned to the Ministry of Education State Books Directorate of Circulating Capital as an administrator. After working in this position for 3 years, he became the branch director at Bakırköy Education Directorate, and worked there for 2 and a half years. Then, he was transferred to Istanbul Bahçelievler Municipality as an Inspection Committee Director (1992 – 1993) and Town Clerk. In 1994, he became a candidate for Büyükçekmece Municipality Mayor position. After the elections, he became Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Director of Wholesale Markets and later, he served as the Director of Social Touristic Facilities. Starting from 2000, he became Director of Public Relations and then Director of Media Relations. At the moment he serves as the Director of Cultural Affairs. He also worked as a manager in various weekly and monthly magazines. Öztürk was also a member of Istanbul Eğitim –"Bir" Union Board of Direcors, a founder member of "Bem-Bir-sen" Union and was also a member of Board of Directors. He’s been working as a football referee for 15 years and as a table tennis referee for 23 years. He is a member of Table Tennis Federations and is also Istanbul Table Tennis District Represantative. Öztürk speaks intermediate level of English and is married with 2 children.
