Mr. Selahattin Danışman was born in Terme, Samsun,in 1970.

After completing his elementary and middle school education in Terme, he received his Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from Çukuova University (ÇU) in Adana, in 1991.

After working as both a field engineer and a construction supervisor in various project offices and worksites until 1995, then he began working as a Control Engineer at Bağcılar District’s Municipality in 1995.

Later, he respectively worked as a Control Engineer, a Chief of Civil Engineering Works, the Deputy-Director of Science Affairs, a Director of Science Affairs and an adviser of District’s Mayor at Gaziosmanpaşa District’s Municipality between the years of 1997 and 2008.

In August 2008, he began working as a reporter at Directorate of Unit Pricing and Standards in Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. Mr. Danışman was also appointed as a Director of Unit Pricing and Standards in January 2009.

He has currently been serving as the Director of Audit at the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality since February 2012.

Mr. Danışman is married with two children.
