Bilal Aslan who was born in 1964 in Malatya graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Economics. After he had worked as a financial advisor from 1987 to 1995, he was assigned as Assistant General Manager for Administrative-Financial Affairs of IGDAS. Aslan worked as top-level manager in private sector between 2002 and 2007. He assumed Merkez Yayın Holding (ATV-Sabah) Financial-Administrative Group Chairmanship recently.
In the institutions and establishments he worked, he successfully implemented the projects such as building institutional structure and institutional recognition, reorganization, strategic planning, analysis of internal and external customer satisfaction, financial management, market research, norm staff, management knowledge system and company evaluation.
In order to meet the increasing demand for qualified personnel of the sector in Turkey and also in the Middle East and Balcanians, he founded the one and only natural gas education center of Turkey, UGETAM, by estimating the quick spreading of natural gas usage in Turkey. He studied the similar Natural Gas Education, Technology and Research Centers in Germany, Italy, Netherlands, England, France, U.S.A. and Canada, and founded the UGETAM in 13 April 1999 in cooperation with French firm Gas de France. Aslan also assumed the founding chairmanship of GAZBİR which centred all the natural gas distribution companies in Turkey.
He was the founding member and member of board of directors of MİKSEN (Public Employer Union of Local Governments) between 1997 and 2002. He participated in ILO (International Labour Organization) meeting organized in Geneva in 2001 as an observer representing Employer Unions Confederation.
Bilal Aslan is also the founding member and a member of Advisory Board of Istanbul Financial Advisors and Registered Accountants Society. He is member of Advisory Board of Istanbul Economists Society and founding member of Kartal Eğitim Kültür-Sanat Vakfi of which he is also a member of board of trustees.
Bilal Aslan is married with four children.
