Cevat YAMAN is born in 1969, Tokat. Between 1988-1992, he completed his bachelor's degree in Department of Environmental Engineering of Istanbul Technical University. Between 1994-1996, he completed his master degree in Department of Environmental Engineering in Drexel University, USA and between 1998 – 2003 his doctor's degree finished in Drexel University.
Between 1992-2005, he worked as “Research Fellow” in Istanbul Technical University and Niğde University. Between 2001-2002, he worked as surveyor in New Jersey, Melick – Tully and Associates in USA. Between 2002-2003, he worked as Environmental Engineer in Roux Associates Inc. Environmental Consulting & Management, New Jersey, USA. Between 2004-2005, he was lecturer in Niğde University (Dr), he worked as lecturer (assistant professor) in Fatih University between 2005-2006. Between 2006-2008, he continued his works as Project management in RT Environmental Services, Pennsylvania, USA. Between 2008-2009, he worked as Assistant of General Director in General Directorate of Environmental Management, TR Ministry of Environment and Forestry; he also worked in focal point of General Directorate of Environmental Management and focal point of MEDPOL (Mediterranean Action Plan), and he worked as Head of Strategy Development Unit and Turkey Coordinator of REMPEC (Regional Marine Pollution Emergency Response Center). YAMAN worked as Director of EU Relations. By 05/25th/2010, Yaman was appointed as Head of Environmental Protection & Development and Director of Waste Management.
