Nafız Eyüp Korkut was born in 1968, İstanbul. He graduated from Istanbul Pertevniyal High School in 1985, and ITU-Faculty of Construction, Department of Environment Engineering in 1990. He earned his MA degre between 1991-1993, from Yıldız Teknik University-Faculty of Construction, Department of Environment Engineering, studying on solid waste. He earned an MA an a PhD degree from Drexel University (Philadelphia, USA) between 1994-2004, with studies concerning the cleansing of waste-water and elusion of solid waste. Korkut worked as an instructor within E4 (Enhanced Educational Experience for Engineers) at Drexel University-Faculty of Engineering, advanced engineering education unit. He also participated in upscale educational and research facilities concerning the usage of geosynthetic materials in solid-dangerous waste storage-fields. He took part in studies about geosynthetics at Philadelphia Water Works, and in projects about the enhancement of water distribution networks. Korkut worked on ground- betterment, evaluation of primary and secondary environmental factors, and researching ground-level and below-ground soil and water quality at Mellick-Tully Associates (New Jersey). He worked as an Assistant Professor at Niğde University-Faculty of Engineering between 2004-2006. Korkut has various articles in remarkable magazines about environment engineering. He also spoke at different conferences about his branch. He is married with one child, and speaks fluent English.
