Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality aims to increase the public awareness particularly against  earthquakes and other disasters. In order to achieve this goal, Natural Disasters Training Park is intended to be constructed in the beginning of 2009 that has first aid, shaking table, smoke training, fire extinguishing, 3D earthquake, liquefaction, tsunami simulations and a planetarium.

Natural disaster training parks simulate the effects of the earthquakes and fires realistically and also once the disaster occured, it helps people gain necessary experience in an enjoyable way. In other words, “They help to gain disaster prevention experince enjoying the time.”
